Fiuggi is a medieval town in the hills south of Rome. In the 1300s, Pope Boniface VIII claimed his kidney stones had been healed by the mineral waters from the Fiuggi spring. A couple hundred years later Michelangelo visited to relieve himself of "the only kind of stone I couldn't love." The water surfaces as 2 thermal springs, and the Boniface VIII Spring. |
